Nancy's Quinceañera at The Farmhouse Banquet Hall

Vernon The Farmhouse Banquet Hall May 2025

About This Installation

An elegant quinceañera installation at The Farmhouse Banquet Hall in Vernon. I designed a 7-foot metallic round arch as the centerpiece, layered with artificial flower arrangements, dry palm leaves, and flowing fabric for dimension. The organic balloon garland combined white, silver, gold, and light pink — a classic quinceañera palette executed with a more editorial, grown-up finish. The large metal arch gives the installation presence without competing with the venue's architecture, and the palette reads both traditional and modern. Full venue coordination, design, and setup handled end-to-end so the family could focus on the celebration.

The white, silver, gold, and light pink palette ran the classic quinceañera tones through a more editorial filter — pink held back to a soft accent rather than the dominant note, silver and gold mixed deliberately instead of defaulting to one metal, white doing the heavy lifting on volume. Inside The Farmhouse Banquet Hall's warm interior lighting the silver kept its cool register without going icy, and the gold held a warm value that anchored the palette against the room's neutral walls. A pink-dominant quinceañera setup would have read juvenile at this scale; the restraint on the pink is what kept the install in editorial territory.

A 7-foot metallic round arch carried the entire composition — a single piece of architecture at scale, rather than a balloon backdrop stretched across a frame. Artificial flower arrangements threaded along the arch curve and concentrated at the upper third where the eye lands first in wide shots. Dry palm leaves added natural texture against the metallic frame and broke up the floral density with something quieter. Flowing fabric draped across one side of the arch and pooled at the base, giving the install dimension and weight that balloons alone couldn't have managed. Organic balloon garland in all four palette tones layered around the arch perimeter, holding the composition together as a single object.

The flower arrangements, the fabric draping, and the styling of the metallic frame were built by my team in our studio and assembled on-site. The arch itself is the structural piece that anchored every other element; sized to give the install the scale a quinceañera demands without crowding the venue's existing architecture.

The Farmhouse Banquet Hall has presence on its own — original architectural detail, controlled lighting, finished interior. An install at this venue has to sit alongside the room rather than competing with it. I sized the arch to read as a centerpiece without dominating the wall behind it, placed the fabric draping on the side that faced the dominant photo angle, and kept the floral density at the upper third where it framed the honoree without crowding her at standing height.

A quinceañera install has to frame the moment the honoree enters the room — the 7-foot scale of the arch and the restraint on the pink let her be the focal point of every photograph instead of the install.
