What I Create for Brit Milah Celebrations

A brit milah is one of the most meaningful celebrations I design for. The centerpiece of most bris installations is a large-scale 3D open book backdrop — a custom-built structure in the shape of an open book, with Hebrew prayers and blessings hand-crafted onto the panels. The baby's name in the Aleph-bet is integrated into the design, making each piece deeply personal and one of a kind.

These are detailed, text-heavy pieces that take real craftsmanship to get right. Every letter is produced in-house using vinyl cut techniques, and the backdrop structure is designed and built in my studio for each event. The result is an installation that feels sacred and intentional — not a generic party setup. Organic garlands in white and gold frame the backdrop, and accent pieces complete the space.

Most brit milah celebrations happen at home, which means every installation is designed for the specific room — living room dimensions, ceiling height, wall surfaces, and furniture layout. I also set up at restaurants and event venues across Los Angeles. You can see examples of past work in the projects gallery.

Popular Brit Milah Setups

Every bris celebration has its own format and space. Here's how most brit milah projects break down:

Home Celebration

The most common format. A 3D open book backdrop with Hebrew prayers is set up as the focal point — typically in the living room or dining area. An organic garland frames the dessert or gift table, and accent pieces mark the celebration space. Every element is sized for the room and positioned around existing furniture.

Restaurant or Event Venue

Private dining rooms at restaurants across Los Angeles. The backdrop becomes the room's centerpiece, with garlands and accent elements designed for the venue's layout. Setup is coordinated with the restaurant staff for timing and access.

Backyard Bris

Outdoor celebrations with a warm, family-centered atmosphere. The open book backdrop is positioned under a canopy or against a wall, with garlands along tent edges or fence lines. Designed for patios, gardens, and covered outdoor spaces.

Venue Reception

Some families hold the bris and celebration at a community venue or event space. Installations use freestanding structures only — no adhesives or wall attachments. The open book backdrop and garland accents are designed to be beautiful and respectful of the space.

Common Questions

Brit Milah Balloon Decor FAQ

How much does brit milah balloon decor cost in Los Angeles?
Brit milah balloon installations start from $850 for a focal backdrop or garland. Most brit milah projects fall between $1,200 and $2,500 for a full setup with 3D open book backdrop, Hebrew lettering, and garland accents.
What is a 3D open book backdrop?
A large-scale backdrop built in the shape of an open book, designed and constructed in-house. Hebrew prayers and blessings are hand-crafted onto the panels, creating a meaningful centerpiece for the bris celebration. Each book backdrop is custom-built for the specific event.
Can you include Hebrew prayers and blessings in the decor?
Yes. Hebrew text — prayers, blessings, and the baby's name in the Aleph-bet — is a signature element of my brit milah work. The lettering is produced in-house using vinyl cut techniques and integrated into 3D backdrop panels or standalone installations.
How far in advance should I book brit milah balloon decor?
A brit milah takes place on the 8th day after birth, so timing is tight. Contact me as early as possible — ideally before the baby is born. I can prepare the design in advance and finalize the name and details once the baby arrives. See the LA booking calendar for general availability.
What venues do you set up brit milah decor at?
I set up at private homes, restaurants, and event venues across Los Angeles. Home celebrations are the most common format for a bris. Installations are designed to work within the available space — living rooms, dining areas, patios, and backyards.
What colors and styles are popular for brit milah decor?
White and gold is the most popular palette — clean, elegant, and reverent. Light blue and white is also common for boys. The style is typically refined and meaningful rather than playful, with the 3D open book backdrop as the signature centerpiece.
